Who are we?

The English language is generally accepted as the international business language. For this reason, many students throughout the world pursue the study and mastery of English as their road leading out of poverty to a more secure lifestyle.

We at Wake Cross Roads Baptist Church have embarked on a program to support students in North Africa with an English reference library. This library will be stocked with books and publications of English literature as well as English linguistics. The volumes have been selected from input provided by university professors and international business people within the region that will be serviced by this library.

Many of the volumes we will place in the library are currently available in only a single copy at the university library. Students must photocopy each volume and share it among several students to complete their class work. Some of the volumes requested cannot be purchased within the country and are not available even for the professors teaching the classes. The books and publications that are available for purchase within the country are prohibitively expensive for most students attending the university.

By purchasing books or publications for the North African English Reference (NAER) library, you are helping us pave the road from ignorance to enlightenment, from poverty to security for an entire generation of ambitious, hard working North African students.

Your contributions will be acknowledged with a certificate inside each volume you purchase identifying you as the provider as well as the occasion or person whom you are honoring with this donation.
