Our Leadership

Ministerial Staff

Bill Bowyer has been Senior Pastor at Wake Cross Roads Baptist Church since February, 1998. Before coming to North Carolina, he served as Senior Pastor at churches in Dallas, TX., Effingham, Ill., and St. Louis, Mo. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Southern Illinois University and a M.Div from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. In December, 2006 Bill graduated from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary with a Doctor of Ministry degree.
Bill and his wife Deana have two sons, Jacob and John.
In addition to helping people understand the Bible and apply it’s truth to daily life, Bill holds a passion for global missions. He has led mission teams to Romania, Moldova, Russia, Hungary and Slovenia.

Bryan Brown
Minister of Administration

Bryan Brown has served on staff at WCRBC since January of 2005. Bryan and his wife Beth are blessed with two children, Matthew and Sarah.

Bryan received his B.S. degree in Mathematical-Economics from Wake Forest University in 1989 and his Master of Divinity degree in December of 2003 from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Before being called into vocational ministry, he worked for 11 years with Wachovia Bank managing consumer and business banking portfolios.

Bryan has a passion for service in the area of administering the financial, physical, and people resources that God has so richly blessed our church. He also enjoys teaching and mentoring others as well, especially in the area of stewardship. His greatest desire is to see people excited about serving the Lord Jesus Christ by encouraging them to seek out and to exercise their spiritual gifts. - Matthew 6:19-21

Mike Mallett
Minister of Recreation and Assimilation

Mike Mallett is from Chattanooga, TN and after living in Wake Forest since 1999, he and his family now live in the Raleigh area. He served as an Associate Pastor of Youth and Students for 6 years in Tennessee prior to moving to North Carolina. Mike is currently serving as our Minister of Recreation & Assimilation and has been on staff since December of 2004. He is very excited about the opportunity he has to structure and provide ministry to the families of the Cross Roads area through recreational programs and outreach using the universal language of sports. Upon moving to Wake Forest he completed his Bachelor's degree from Southeastern College of Wake Forest and earned his Master's degree in Biblical Counseling from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Mike is a Board Certified Pastoral Counselor through the International Board of Christian Counselors and a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors. Mike has a beautiful wife named Karen and they have been married for 24 years. They have two wonderful children; a son Casey and a daughter Caitlin.

Dr. Randy Mann
Minister of Education & Evangelism

Randy Mann has been on staff at Wake Cross Roads since April 2003. He started his ministry here as Associate Pastor of Education and Administration. In January of 2005, with the addition of our Minister of Administration, his responsibilities shifted to Education and Evangelism. Randy's greatest desire is to see God glorified as those in our community come to saving faith in Jesus Christ and grow as true Christ-followers.
Randy graduated from the University of Alabama in Birmingham in December 1995 with a B.S. Degree in Nursing, working for over 9 years as a Registered Nurse in a variety of clinical and educational settings. He graduated from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in May 2002 with his Master of Divinity degree. He completed his Doctor of Ministry degree at Southeastern in 2010.
Randy has a beautiful wife, Melanie, and three wonderful children, Joshua, Caleb and Abbie.
A life verse for Randy is Proverbs 3:5-6 which says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path.”
