Coronavirus Update

Services & Activities This Week

Due to the strong recommendation by the CDC and the executive order given by the Governor of North Carolina, Wake Cross Roads will not be holding worship services, Bible Study classes, or any other churchwide activities this week. This includes Sunday worship and Wednesday night activities. Our regular schedule will resume as soon as the statewide executive order has been lifted. Sunday messages and other updates will be posted to this page regularly during this time.

With the Wake County "Stay-At-Home" order going into effect late this afternoon, we want to make sure you can stay connected with us. Video messages from some of our ministries will be available for viewing by Sunday morning. Even though we are unable to gather together as a church, we can still "Be the Church". This can be done by checking in on one another, loving one another, praying for one another, and worshiping together virtually with one another. These are challenging days, but we are thankful the Lord has provided us with resources that allow us to continue our worship together as a church.
Use the links below to stay connected Sunday Mornings for worship.
As a reminder, if you have an emergency or need pastoral care, please call the church office at 919-266-2957 and leave a message. We will be checking our messages several times a day. You may also contact us via email by clicking here

March 20, 2020
WCR Family,
I believe that there are different seasons in our lives in which God provides us great opportunities in order to speak and model the gospel to the world that we live in. My prayer is that during this current season that we are all experiencing, we would grow in our dependency on the Lord and at the same time live in such a way that demonstrates our love for Him and for others. I know that this time of change affects each and every one of us, but knowing that the Lord has a plan should bring us great comfort and peace.
With so much uncertainty as to how long this will last, we are taking steps to provide messages that will be posted online during this time. We are thankful that God has provided this as an alternative even though we may miss worshiping Jesus together in person. These messages will be posted by Sunday morning and we will notify you when they are available. I want to encourage you to set aside some time on Sunday to watch and worship although we are not physically together.
An area of our services, which not only is vital in our worship but also in the functioning of the church day-to-day, is the giving of our tithes and offerings. Because of us not being able to gather together on Sundays, this will affect us as a church. Just because we are not able to collect our offerings physically does not mean that we cannot receive them. One way of doing this is through on-line giving which is available through our website. Click here for brief tutorial in how to do this if you are unfamiliar with our on-line giving option.
Another way you can still give is to mail it in or come by the church office to drop it off if you are comfortable in doing so. I cannot express how important our tithes and offerings are in the continuing of ministry and the support of missionaries around the world who are experiencing the same circumstances as us. Thank you for being so faithful to the Lord and His church in this area.
Many of you have contacted the church to inquire if there are any needs or opportunities in which you can help during this time. If there are any service opportunities, we will update you as to how you can help out in those areas. Until then, I want to encourage you to "love your neighbor" and look out for those that you know may be vulnerable or having a difficult time during this season. Praying for you all...love you church!
All for Him,
Pastor Harry

In response to the Covid-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak and considering recommendations from our national and state governments and health agencies, we have made the decision to temporarily suspend all church gatherings and events at Wake Cross Roads Baptist Church beginning immediately and continuing at least until March 21. This includes Sunday worship services, Sunday and Wednesday night activities, and all events in the ROC.
Throughout the upcoming week, we will continue to monitor guidance from government and health agencies as to a safe time to resume a normal or a modified schedule.  Please check church emails and social media sites for updates.  The church office will continue to be open normal operating hours.
This is a wonderful time to show our neighbors the love of Christ and the confidence we have in Him!  Let’s be diligent to look out for those most vulnerable around us (elderly and those with very young children) who may need assistance with shopping for groceries or other necessities.
During this time away from official church gatherings, we encourage all of our families to be intentional in family devotions and to continue in any small group gatherings.  As long as all family members are healthy with no fever or symptoms of illness, we also encourage connecting with other church families for a small gathering time of Bible study and worship this weekend.
Wake Cross Roads may not have a corporate gathering, but Wake Cross Roads can still be an active church on mission!
