Our church has partnered with Baptists on Mission to provide a disaster recovery team to minister to people who are hurting due to disasters.

We seek to assist in natural disasters by providing committed volunteers to help affected individuals and families rebuild their lives and homes. Some of the ways volunteers can assist are through; Administration, Assessment, Chaplaincy, Communications, Childcare, Laundry, Logistics, Mass feeding, Recovery (debris removal), Rebuild, Shower, Water, etc.

These efforts can be summed up by looking at biblical accounts of Jesus teaching and healing, such as: His feeding the multitudes, the parable of the Good Samaritan, and urging us to serve others in a variety of ways.  (Matthew 14:19-21, Luke 10, Matthew 25:32-46, Matthew 5:14-16, Ephesians 2:10, James 2:15-16).

When a disaster strikes, WCR will quickly gather a team to go and serve based on availability. However, we are limited to serve in areas where our people are trained. We recommend anyone who is interested in serving complete training through Baptist on Mission, who offers training many times throughout the year. Click the button below to find and register for upcoming training dates.

Once you have completed training through Baptist on Mission, please let us know so we can have your information on file and contact you in case of deployment.
