Audiovisual Director
Position Title: Audio Visual Director
Status: Part-time hourly
Reports To: Executive Pastor

The A/V Director will support the ministries of WCR by managing the audio, visual, lighting, and production needs of all ministry programming, worship services, and special events. This position is responsible for developing systems and processes for all media needs as well as managing the technologies that support those needs. In addition, the A/V Director provides leadership to a comprehensive volunteer team. This includes recruitment, training, and scheduling as needed.
 
The A/V Director will support the philosophy of WCR that emphasizes the preaching of the Word of God and the singing voice of the church as primary elements in the worship service environment.
 
 
Primary Responsibilities
 
  • Lead an exciting and growing team of media volunteers to share the gospel through media and technology in support of the mission/vision of WCR.
  • Serve the WCR Church family by producing and posting weekly worship services and special elements to media outlets including streaming, social media, and other platforms. Actively seek for ways to grow in knowledge and excellence in these areas.
  • Support the Worship Director and Pastoral staff as media liaison for designing worship services, special events and other church ministry events (such as funerals).
  • Support the church staff and ministries by maintaining media equipment and needs throughout the building.
  • Maintain copyright compliance and reporting for media usage, broadcast/streaming, and ministry tools that support media functions in the church.
 
Specific Skills
 
  • MAC and PC platforms.
  • ProPresenter – for visual presentations including graphics, lyrics, and media elements.
  • Audio Editing – DAW – Logic or Pro Tools, and Ableton (for live steams from stage).
  • Video Editing – NLE – Final Cut and Davinci.
  • Front of House Mixing – able to mix audio and knowledge of Dante network audio
  • Lighting – knowledge of production lighting, techniques, and programming of console.
  • Video – knowledge of video technologies including cameras, interfaces, routing, NDI, recording, and directing.
  • Streaming – knowledge of broadcast workflow and technologies for web streaming video of services and events. Be aware of and ensure compliance with copyright laws.
  • Production Equipment – knowledge of hardware and software related to media and production: mixers, microphones, cables, amps, projectors, TVs, network switches, computers, phones/tablets/apps, media files
  • Network Infrastructure – basic knowledge of network technologies and routing would be very helpful in this role

Children's Director
Position Title: Part-time Children’s Director
Reports To: Family Pastor
Date Prepared/Revised: September 18, 2025


Principle Function

Plan, administer, coordinate, supervise, and evaluate a comprehensive and active Children’s Ministry at Wake Cross Roads Baptist Church.

General List of Responsibilities
  • Lead Children’s discipleship programming on Sunday mornings, Wednesday evenings (Olympians), and special events for children and families (VBS, etc.)
  • Assess the effectiveness of ministry activities and programs and make revisions as needed. This ministry will align to the broader ministry plan of WCR.
  • Host/conduct training opportunities for workers of the children’s ministry.
  • Work with children’s leaders to coordinate follow-up with prospects and those absent.
  • Coordinate recruiting, screening and training of all children workers.
  • Ensure that all children workers (paid or volunteer) understand and adhere to the Prevention of Child and Youth Abuse Policy.
  • Work with the pastoral team to implement a biblical philosophy of teaching children.
  • Collaborate with the Family Pastor for the integration of WCR Mission and Vision throughout all age-levels – including participation in the Parent Milestones ministry.
  • Collaborate with Executive Pastor in planning and preparing an annual budget.
  • Work closely with the Children’s Associate to accomplish the goals of WCR Children’s ministry.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
